BEL Information Systems will participate in this year’s Annual Conference of the European Rotogravure Association, taking place on 21-23 September in Thessaloniki, Greece. BEL will showcase its latest development of the Overprint MIS software automation for Rotogravure.
The conference will take place on 22 September all day, following the Management Meeting & General Assembly on 21 September late afternoon. A plant visit of packaging printer Hatzopoulos is scheduled on 23 September. The conference will put a special focus on the sustainability of the gravure process.
BEL has developed an innovative solution which is based around its flagship Overprint MIS software and is leveraging modern technologies such as RFID, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in automating the engraving and management process of cylinders.
Overprint is an end-to-end MIS that enables converters & printers to work efficiently, throughout the print lifecycle: from lead and quote generation, through cost estimation and order processing, to production planning, real-time tracking, and delivery. Everything managed in a single system, with the possibility of dynamic integration with various software systems, press and finishing equipment.
The cylinder engraving technologies used in gravure are well engineered, precisely controlled and automated. Overprint MIS is surrounding these technologies to fully manage the engraving production process. The solution will be demonstrated with an implementation case study in production.
Yiannis Katis, CEO of BEL Information Systems states: “BEL is delighted to attend the ERA Annual Conference taking place in Thessaloniki. After a difficult period, due to Covid-19, we are looking forward to meeting the rotogravure community and presenting our latest developments in this conference. The European Rotogravure Association, dedicated to contributing to the healthy continuity of the gravure industry, is focusing this year on sustainability. In this direction BEL will demonstrate how converters can incorporate technology & automation within their day-to-day operations towards achieving their business goals.
The gravure industry is ever improving in efficiency and process automation. With over 20 years of experience in the printing industry, BEL has much to offer in the ongoing efforts to strengthen the efficiency and further optimize the gravure production processes. Our presence in the ERA Annual Conference is well aligned with BEL’s business strategy.”
